Elevating Nairobi's comfort food

Weighed tubs, gloved crews and steel carts, on the streets where Nairobi eats lunch.

Pilau Depot started from a simple idea: you shouldn't have to give up hygiene, professionalism or speed to enjoy real street flavour. We launched in October 2026 to rethink the food cart from the wheels up.

We run clean, modern, standardised mobile stations across Nairobi and cook well-seasoned pilau every day. From the weighed, individually packed 450 g lunch tub to the corporate catering bucket, you get quick-service speed with home-cooked quality.

When do you deliver?

How much is a tub, and how big is it?

Beef pilau is KSh 300 and chicken pilau is KSh 350. Every tub is weighed to a 450 g baseline and comes with a Pili Pili Moto cup.
